President Buhari Is A Massive Failure – DWAN Declares, Gives Marching Orders

President Buhari Is A Massive Failure – DWAN Declares, Gives Marching Orders

By Post-Nigeria: February 11, 2020 18:59

The Democratic Writers Association of Nigeria, DWAN, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s performance in the past four years, as a massive failure.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the National Coordinator of DWAN, Wole Adedoyin, in Ibadan, on Monday, corroborating the recent statement made by the Northern Elders Forum, NEF.

According to the statement: “President Muhammadu Buhari’s middle name is failure. He has failed to deliver on his promise to tackle the country’s economic and security woes. Unemployment has risen dramatically since he took Office, and has failed to do most of the agenda he promised during the heated campaign in 2015, and now looking forward to what will happen till 2023. President Muhammadu Buhari made a number of promises, particularly on the country’s security, economy, and his anti-corruption campaign. Since four years ago, we have not seen any tangible accomplishment on these. We have examined the President on his promises and works so far, and we have scored him below average”.

Recent innocent killings and deaths in Nigeria, have shown that the President, the Commander-in-Chief of a jobless and undisciplined Armed Forces, is not only sleeping on duty, but playing kites with innocent Nigerian lives.

The statement further said that they want the President to tell Nigerians how much the country has generated through IGR and foreign grants, and what project he did with the money.

“We also challenge him to come and give account of his stewardship in the last four years as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially in the area of economy, security, and his fake anti-corruption campaign. We already know that the current members of the House of Senate and the House of Reps. members, are stones in his hand. He throws them anywhere he likes.”

DWAN further accused President Muhammadu Buhari-led government by saying that: “The President has been lavishing public funds on unnecessary projects, throwing indiscriminate millions on irrelevant and self-serving missions with the country’s funds, and watching boko haram taking lives of thousands of innocent Nigerians.

DWAN finally advised President Muhammadu Buhari to wake from his slumber and tackle the challenges facing the country, and stop giving flimsy excuses.

Deregistration: INEC Website still shows there are 92 registered political parties in Nigeria - DWAN

Deregistration: INEC Website still shows there are 92 registered political parties in Nigeria - DWAN

The Democratic Writers Association of Nigeria (DWAN) has accused INEC of insecurity on the recent deregistration of underperforming political parties which was carried out earlier this week as the names, logos, addresses, EXCOS’ particulars and contacts of the 74 deregistered political parties alongside their Manifestoes and Constitutions are still on their Websites @ www.inecnigeria.org or www.inec.gov.ng.

This observation was contained in a statement issued and signed by the National Coordinator of the Association, Mr. Wole Adedoyin on Tuesday after an emergency meeting of the Association in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

It would be recalled that DWAN on Monday had earlier described deregistration of the affected political parties by INEC as undemocratic and unconstitutional. According to the earlier statement, “It is wrong for parties to be deregistered on account of their performance during an election, since party that fail to win elections today could do better in subsequent elections.

But DWAN yesterday raised the awareness of millions of Nigerians on the existence of the deregistered parties on INEC’s Website. The 74 deregistered parties are still listed as part of the 18 currently valid parties as announced by INEC. This however shows that INEC doesn’t know what they are doing.
